A New Multi-Disciplinary Team for
Bureau and Putnam Counties
Bureau-Putnam County SART
This community-based team coordinates the response to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. The team comprises Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs), hospital personnel, victim advocates, health departments, law enforcement, prosecutors, and other professionals with a specific interest in assisting victims of sexual assault or domestic violence. The Bureau-Putnam County SART provides comprehensive and specialized services, ensure continuity of care for victims, enhances evidence collection, and increases public safety.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Bureau-Putnam County SART is to counter the trauma of sexual assault and domestic violence with a sensitive and competent multidisciplinary response; to support efforts to restore the victim’s well-being; and to bring responsible persons to justice.
Vision Statement
The Bureau-Putnam County SART ensures the coordination of a consistent, respectful, victim-centered response to sexual assault and domestic violence.
